BRIEF
How do gathering and privacy coexist?
A place for gathering, privacy and individuality.
This 2,213 sq ft Laguna Verde residence balances shared living with privacy. The living and dining area supports gathering, while the entrance and storage bring order. Warm timber, stone and soft curves unite function with character.
CHALLENGE
How can a large home avoid fragmentation?
One circulation and material language links each setting.
The entrance, living and dining area, bedrooms, closet, kitchen and bathrooms must work independently yet read as one home. Consistent circulation, storage and material proportions keep the scale and detail coherent.
RESPONSE
How can unity retain individuality?
Establish a shared order, then let each room speak.
Rounded timber, stone textures and indirect light shape the entrance transition. Curved ceilings, warm wood and metal link the public areas. Cabinetry is integrated into the elevations, while colour, pattern and function distinguish the private rooms.
OUTCOME
How does the completed home gain clarity?
Open shared areas; distinct private rooms.
Warm timber, stone, curves and built-in storage create clear layers. Public areas stay open, private rooms retain character, and function sits quietly within the elevations.
